And indeed, I every time, I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and covered themselves (with) their garments and persisted and were arrogant (with) pride.
And behold, whenever I called unto them with a view to Thy granting them forgiveness, they put their fingers into their ears, and wrapped themselves up in their garments [of sin]; and grew obstinate, and became [yet more] arrogant in their false pride
And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride
"And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance
And whenever I invite them to be forgiven by You, they press their fingers into their ears, cover themselves with their clothes, persist ˹in denial˺, and act very arrogantly.
Every time I called them to Your forgiveness, they put their fingers into their ears, wrapped themselves in their garments, and insisted, and became increasingly more arrogant.
Every time I have called to them, so that You might forgive them, they have only thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance
And whenever I have called them that Thou mayest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, cover themselves with their garments, and persist and are puffed up with pride
And, truly, as often as I called to them that Thou wouldst forgive them, they laid their fingertips over their ears and covered themselves with their garments. And they maintained growing arrogant as they grew arrogant.
Each time I appeal to them to ask You to forgive them, they stick their fingers in their ears and try to wrap themselves up in their clothing. They persist in that and have become so overbearing!
Surely! Every time I called to them that Allah might forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, persisted (in their refusal), and magnified themselves in pride.
Truly whenever I call them, that Thou mayest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, cover themselves with their garments, persist, and wax most arrogant
And truly I, every time I called them that You may forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, and covered themselves up with their garments and insisted (on their wrong beliefs) and behaved with pride in arrogance, patronising seriously arrogant pride
Each time I called on them to seek Your pardon, they thrust their fingers in their ears and drew their cloaks over their heads, persisting in sin and puffing themselves up with insolent pride
Whenever I called them to Your forgiveness, they thrust their fingers into their ears, and wrapped themselves in their garments, and insisted, and became more and more arrogant
And surely whenever I call them that You may forgive them, they set (Literally: made "up") their fingers in their ears, and enveloped themselves with their clothes, and persisted, and waxed proud (with insolent) arrogance (Literally: in "arrogant" pride)
Evert time I invite them to Your (guidance) so that You can forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, cover their heads with their clothes, persist in their disbelief and display extreme arrogance
Whenever I called them, so that You might forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, and wrapped their clothes around themselves, and grew obstinate, and waxed proud in extreme arrogance
And, behold, whenever I call unto them to be forgiven by You, they thrust their fingers in their ears - and veil themselves in their garments. And they persist in this behavior glorifying themselves in pride. (11:5)
"In fact, whenever I call them (to say) that You might forgive them, they stick their fingers in their ears. They (hide their faces and) wrap their clothes around them (in defiance). They grew obstinate and became (rude and insulting, and) increasingly arrogant."

And verily so oft as I call them, that Thou mayest forgive them, they place their fingers into their ears, and wrap themselves with their garments, and persist, and are stiff-necked
And every time I called them that You may forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, and covered themselves with their garments, and became wayward, and behaved with downright insolence
Indeed, every time I called them to Your forgiveness, they put their fingers in their ears, wrapped themselves up in their clothes and were overweeningly arrogant.
"And every time I have called them so that You may forgive them, they have thrust their fingers in their ears, and wrapped themselves up in their garments, and grown obstinate and more and more arrogant (in refusing my call)
Indeed whenever I have summoned them, so that You might forgive them, they would put their fingers into their ears and draw their cloaks over their heads, and they were persistent [in their unfaith], and disdainful in [their] arrogance
"And whenever I have called them that you may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, cover themselves with their garments, grow obstinate and puffed up with pride
and indeed every time I invited them so that You forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and covered themselves with their clothes and insisted and were extremely arrogant

And every time I called them so that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears and wrapped up their faces with their garments and obstinately clung to their attitude, and waxed very proud
"And every time I called on them so that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and they covered their heads with their outer garments and they insisted, and they became greatly arrogant.
"And, indeed, whenever I preached to them [to come to the Right Path] so that You might forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up in their garments, grew obstinate, and became arrogant with false pride."
And every time I called them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, covered themselves with their garments, and persisted and waxed great proud
"Whenever I invited them to be forgiven by You, they placed their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their clothes, insisted, and turned arrogant.
Each time I called them so that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers in their ears and wrapped themselves in their garments, and persisted becomingvery proud
And whenever I call to them Thou mayest forgive them, they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments, and persist and are big with pride
And that I, whenever I called them (for You) to forgive for them, they made/put their fingers in their ears, and they covered/darkened themselves (with) their clothes/garments , and they persisted/insisted, and they became arrogant, arrogantly
Anytime that I have given them the good news of your promises to forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, cover themselves with their cloths and arrogantly avoid me
“And whenever I called them, so that You may forgive them, they always thrust their fingers into their ears, and covered themselves with their clothes, and remained stubborn and were extremely haughty.”
`And every time I called them that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, and drew close their garments, and persisted in their iniquities and were disdainfully proud
And every time I called them (towards faith) so that You might forgive them, they only thrust their fingers into their ears and wrapped their clothes over themselves and stuck obstinately (to disbelief) and behaved most arrogantly
`As often as I called them to You so that You might protect them (against the commitment of further sins and also against the evil consequences of their sins) they plugged their ears with their fingers, and drew their cloaks around them (and thus covered their hearts), and persisted (in their stubbornness and denial) and behaved in an extremely insolent manner
"And verily! Every time I called unto them that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, and persisted (in their refusal), and magnified themselves in pride

And whensoever I call them to the true faith, that Thou mayest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, and cover themselves with their garments, and persist in their infidelity, and proudly disdain my counsel
and, verily, every time I called them, that Thou mightest pardon them, they placed their fingers in their ears and tried to cover themselves with their garments and persisted, and were very big with pride
So oft as I cry to them, that thou mayest forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, and wrap themselves in their garments, and persist in their error, and are disdainfully disdainful
Each time I call on them to seek Your pardon, they thrust their fingers into their ears and draw their cloaks over their heads, persisting in sin and bearing themselves with insolent pride
“Every time I have called to them so You might forgive them, they have thrust their fingers into their ears. [They have] pulled their garments over themselves, become obstinate, and acquired arrogance.
Each time I appeal to them to ask You to forgive them, they stick their fingers in their ears and try to wrap themselves up in their clothing. They persist in that and have become so overbearing!
“The more I invited them to your forgiveness, the more they put their fingers into their ears, covered themselves with their garments and persisted in their ways (beliefs) becoming more and more arrogant.”
And whenever I invited them that You will protectively forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and covered, themselves with garments and persisted (in refusing) and considered themselves great (due to) pride.
"As often as I invited them to present them with inducements to follow your Commendable path and merit your forgiveness, their ears counseled deaf, and in obstinacy they hugged to their hearts their old irreverent conviction of disbelief, hid their faces and overweened themselves in arrogance and inordinate self-esteem"
"And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance
And indeed, I every time, I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and covered themselves (with) their garments and persisted and were arrogant (with) pride
